Aswin D'Souza is a self-taught artist based out of the greater Seattle area. Having lived in several countries, Aswin brings to his art a diverse set of themes that are connected by universal human emotions like nostalgia and a deep sense of wonder and respect for natural beauty. Having grown up in the city of Mangalore, India, a coastal town with an easy pace, Aswin tends to find beauty in everyday situations and places around him. A decade long foray into photography has helped him immensely in his ability to convey light, shadow and create a good composition.

Influenced by the works of many modern day watercolor artists like Alvaro Castagnet, Joseph Zbukvic and Chien Chung Wei, Aswin is moving to a more impressionist style while maintaining a unique take on subjects and mood.

Aswin is currently a full-time software developer by day but makes sure to devote plenty of his time off working on his art.
